Have you stayed at Royal Horseguards London Hotel?

If anyone has stayed there and can provide feedback regarding location, service, room size and comfort, I would very much appreciate it.

Thank you.

Stayed there several years ago. It was a good deal for the money. the room we had was large - but it was an upgrade - don;t know about the basic rooms. And the location is great - very central.

(But - don;t take it if city noise bothers you. Although frankly, I don;t get people who visit huge cities and then expect it to be quiet at night.)

It is a wonderful hotel in a very central location. The immediate street (Whitehall place) is quiet at night. There is a fair amount of traffic on the Victoria Embankment on the other side of the hotel.

Try for a river view room.

I stayed there last March, before the leaves were on the trees, so we could see the river and the London Eye from our window. The room was lovely and quite comfortable, with a large walk in closet. I think we paid more for the room with a view, and it was some sort of weekend special rate. When the trees are leafed out, the view would still be pleasant, but the river would be far less visible.

As janisj has noted, the street(s) immediately around the hotel are very quiet - dead actually. The tube/Victoria Embankment is about a block or two away.

I can't speak much to the service level; what we did see was quite pleasant. My daughter enjoyed a quiet drink in the hotel bar with her friends.

I stayed at the Royal Horseguards a few years back. Only two nights, was pleased with the room and location. The only issue I had was that the television was not working (out for the entire floor I was told) and I was up with jet lag and really wanted to watch something as it was 4am! The TV issue was fixed later in the day. The room was very clean and a good size (executive room). Tea/ coffee maker in room and nice marble bathroom. I did not try the restaurant.
