Has AnyoneGotten Through To Uffizi

Message: I've been trying for two weeks and gotten a busy signal everytime. I've called at virtually all hours, from 6AM to Noon EDT. I've called other numbers in Italy with no problem, so it isn't the phone line. I'm using the number published on their site 055-294-883.

Is it simply impossible to get through?

Hi crozier,

6 AM EDT is noon in Florence: Lunch time is until 2:00.

Have you asked your hotel in Florence to make the reservations for you?

1. Why would being out to lunch produce a busy signal? Besides, an old post lower down said that they had called at 6:30 and got through. Besides, I've called at at later times and it was still busy.

2. I'm staying at "self-catering hotel," so they don't have amenities like getting me tickets.

Thanks, but I finally got through. I guess you just have to keep dialling until you get lucky. Initially, I got a recorded message that starts in Italian but eventually says in English to hold on. A (barely) English speaking operator came on within 2 minutes.
