How much luggage will you have? You do realize it's over 90 miles away and I doubt there are any shuttle service that is willing to go that far. I guess even if you find one, it would be very, very expensive. Would you consider renting a car from CDG and drive out there?
Another option would be take a taxi from CDG to Gare St Lazare in Paris, and change for a direct train to Rouen. Train fares are fairly cheap, under €20 per person . For riding trains in France, as long as you can lift your luggage up 2 steps onto the train, you shouldn't have any problem.

A shuttle is something you weave cloth with, so it's highly unlikely one would be much use getting you from CDG to Rouen.
But of course there are businesses operating transport from CDG to Rouen - as there are from all Europe's major airports to anywhere within a 200 mile radius. Why a previous poster thinks Rouen wouldn't have a "service that is willing to go that far" is beyond me. No doubt he or she lives somewhere the concept of entrepreneurship hasn't caught on.
A company called Bus Shuttle quote €39 per person each way - but that's a fixed route to central Rouen(www.bus-shuttle.fr/airport-transfer-xsl-247.html). To book a taxi to somewhere in the area (it's unlikely your family live in central Rouen) averages about €250 per journey from people like www.firstway.fr (google 'taxi rouen aeroport CDG').
The universal rule for these medium-distance transfers, if the set bus route is inconvenient, is to use a cab firm in the area you're going to, rather than in the airport area. Usually that means googling in the local language.
But if you've got family locally, they'll be in a much better position to know who's the most reliable local company for a cab to CDG or Orly. It often needs a bit of diplomacy to ask the question without their thinking you're hinting you'd like collection: but taxis for a 15-20 mile journey from most European medium size towns to somewhere in the region can get pricey, so getting a fixed-route bus to Rouen station, then a taxi, might cost you as much as using the cab firm your family, or their neighbours, routinely use to get to or from CDG

Well, flanner, I was just trying to help... so sorry if I gave the incorrect information!
From the shuttle website you have, the CDG-Rouen page is:
http://www.bus-shuttle.fr/76000rouen...ml?language=en
It says:
<i>The fare is calculated by whole shuttle (8 places): 8,16,24….</i>
In french it is:
<i>Le tarif est calculé par navette entière (8 places) : 8, 16, 24….</i>
Does that mean you have to have 8 people sharing the shuttle in order to get the €39 fare?

My husband and I just got a quote from this company for 76 euros per person for a "shared shuttle" at 9AM, October 8, 2009 from CDG to Rouen. However, the "Booking Procedure" and "General terms" say that 1 week before arrival, if there are not at least 4 passengers, that they can cancel the trip and refund our money.
Has anyone used this company, and what has been your experience? We might just decide to get on the train from CDG to Lyon and start our trip there instead of in Normandy if this CDG to Rouen is too iffy. We are seniors and can't function very well after losing a night's sleep on the plane.

I went to Rouen 2 years ago for a 2-week trip to Normandy. Arrived at CDG in the AM, took the RER to Gare du Nord, then taxi to St. Lazare for the direct train to Rouen. I agree that might be too much for you; however, a taxi from CDG to St. Lazare would be fine. I managed the train just fine. I was alone, and had a rolling suitcase, plus a carryon bag. I'm not young, either!! (So I understand your concerns). I found that French people are very polite and helpful - when you might need help with the suitcases. I was worried about the train steps with that, but there was always someone with a helping hand.
Maybe your family would meet you at the Rouen train station (I think there are 2 stations). I took a taxi to my hotel with no problems. After visiting Rouen for 2 days I took the train to Giverny to see Monet's gardens, rented a car, and drove around Normandy for remainder of the 2 weeks. Had a wonderful time. I loved Normandy!
Even did the same thing in Brittany last May.
I'm beginning to think I'm a little old for the driving thing, but I sure loved doing it. But I stuck to the smaller roads, for sure - never the major highways.
