Going to be in Rome during Rome Film Festival

I was in Rome when the previous pope died and 4 million people descended upon the city, and depending on where you were, you didn't notice. Rome is used to handling crowds. It's always a bit crazy, but unless you are right on top of the festival venue, I doubt you'll notice.

No real difference during the film festival. Last year the mayor endorsed a "primarily-Italian" film festivsal so who knows what this year holds. There are extra "film buses" running from venue to venue and you can wait outside many of the larger hotels and screenings to see the movie stars... other than that, you probably won't know it's even going on.


No worries, it's the height of high season so the city will be packed but it is used to handling crowds.
