Going to be in Rome during Rome Film Festival

I just found out that I will be in Rome for the film festival. Does anyone know if it's extremely crazy at this time ??

When is it?

I was in Rome when the previous pope died and 4 million people descended upon the city, and depending on where you were, you didn't notice. Rome is used to handling crowds. It's always a bit crazy, but unless you are right on top of the festival venue, I doubt you'll notice.

The festival is I believe from Oct. 15th to the 23rd and I will be in Rome from the 15th to the 22nd. Great-thanks zeppole! I was getting a little nervous!

I was there during that a couple years ago. Didn't even know it was going on until I was at the Hassler and noticed all the photographers and saw Tom Cruise leaving. Other than that, Rome was the same as usual.

Great thanks!

Probably chaotic as usual :) No worries, it's the height of high season so the city will be packed but it is used to handling crowds.

No real difference during the film festival. Last year the mayor endorsed a "primarily-Italian" film festivsal so who knows what this year holds. There are extra "film buses" running from venue to venue and you can wait outside many of the larger hotels and screenings to see the movie stars... other than that, you probably won't know it's even going on.
