The Anne Frank foundation is not a jewish organization.

Furthermore "jewish groups" says exactly Nothing. In NL that's usually CJO: three guys exactly who think they can be spokespersons for "the jewish community"

Oh, and here CIDI was involved, which is an Israel lobby/hasbara organisation that also purports to "represent jews"

What also annoys me, is that somehow Anne Frank has become Dutch property, but she was a German girl, who was eventually betrayed by Dutch people and who was transported by the DUTCH RAILWAYS far into Germany. From Westerbork, a transit camp built for German refugees pre-war, paid for by the Jewish community.

Also what I really liked about the proposal is that she would take her place amongst famous German authors. Something she envisioned for herself "after the war". In fact she carefully edited the manuscript of her diary, that was written as a pseudo diary, modeled after the wildly popular "Joop ter Heul's School Days" novel by Cissy van Marxveldt. The "Kitty" she addresses throughout the diary also occurs in van Marxveldt's novel.
