Germany: Frankfurt to Philadelphia
Has anyone flown Lufthansa/USAirways code share from Frankfurt to Philadelphia? I believe the equipment is the A340 (A343), and am wondering whether the coach seats have an in-screen video monitor or whether they still have the old drop-down screens. I think they are still the old drop-down screens, but just wanted to hear from someone who actually flew the route. Thanks!

Let's make this clear.
Two flights per day PHL-FRA:
- USAirways A330. Flight US894/LH1415. Individual screens in coach.
- Lufthansa A340. Flight LH427/US5600. No individual screens in coach.
USAir and LH are Star Alliance partners, and code-share on each other's flight. So, you will see both flights on each other's timetable.

If the personal TV is important to you, DEFINITELY take the USAirways plane (333 or Airbus A330-300). The entertainment system is IMO one of the nicest, as it is entirely on demand, meaning you can start/stop/rewind anything at any time. Very nice and lots of choice.
There are 2 flights a day PHL-FRA, one is USAirways, and one is Lufthansa. I think there is one USAirways flight to PIT per day as well.

Hope springs eternal!
