Florence Parking. Help!
I am staying at the Hotel Porta Rossa. Very central as I understand. I will have a car with me. Can you tell me if there are parking lots in city centre area? price? ease of access?

Hi chris,

Have you considered contacting your hotel and asking them where the available parking is?

There is a parking lot at the train station, Santa Maria Novella. Many hotels have an agreement with a garage that is nearby to park your car. Much of the on street parking is for people with residential parking permits or for a short time, with no overnight parking.

ira, this is easier. and I can usually get much better info than having to fight the communication difficulties.
