Here are some other considerations... some great amenities (free breakfasts, upgrades, and other hotel credits) if you book the right way.

The Dorchester. My personal favorite in London, across the street from Hyde Park. Book through a Diamond Club TA to get *guaranteed upgrade at time of booking*, *full breakfast for two*, *100£ hotel credit*, free premium internet for unlimited devices.

The Goring. A boutique hotel around the corner from Buckingham Palace. The Middleton family stayed here the night before the royal wedding. Book through a Virtuoso TA to get daily continental breakfast for 2, $100 F&B credit, and a free airport transfer if you book some room types.

The Baglioni. Upscale hotel in Kensington, across the street from the Park. Book through a Virtuoso TA to get daily full breakfast for two, $100 F&B credit.

The Milestone. Next door to the Baglioni. Smallish rooms, but the suites are phenomenal. Book through a Virtuoso TA to get full breakfast daily for two, one-time three course dinner in the hotel restaurant.

See this link for all of the Virtuoso amenities at 22 London luxury hotels: http://www.virtuoso.com/hotels#Curre...SelectedFacets[0][Category]=property_city&SelectedFacets[0][Name]=London&SelectedFacets[0][Selected]=true

Thank you Travelhorizons. We do usually book through Amex platinum to ge the extra amenities, which really do make a difference. I tried booking the dorchester through a Diamond Club TA (just discovered that after massive research) but to book the package i want, i can't get diamond club benes. The good news is the package (a family package) includes breakfast. I am so pleased to hear that the Dorchester is your favorite! You seem quite knowledgeable about london hotels!! Thank you!

I too love The Dorchester, fantastic hotel with great service. The restaurant China Tang , is really good and the cickrptail in the bar are fabulous ( and very expensive......) I had lunch there just the other week and as usual was great.

Thank you all! The Dorchester was wonderful. With the package deal we received 2 large, well-appointed king bedded rooms that connected- for the price of one! Breakfast which was indulgent and delicisiou (better croissants than we had in Paris!) and a welcome bottle of champagne. The staff at this hotel was TOP NOTCH. We were thrilled with our choice!

Well done, you!

Lady Montdore would be impressed.

Well, making one laugh is better than making one vomit into one's Birkin bag.
