Evan Evans Medieval Banquet

Has anyone done the Evan Evans Medieval Banquet? Just wondering if this is fun or too cheesy....it sounds like something the kids would really like. Just curious and wondering if it would be worth our time. Thanks.

They used to go to the one held at Hatfield House which was pretty good. Now examining their brochure they seem to be simply a ticket broker for the banquet at Tower Hill (St. Katherine's Dock) which you can easily book and get to by yourself and we went about 4 or 5 years ago and it stunk!

Don't know why they're not doing Hatfield House anymore. It is a pain to get to by public transportation and since it ends late you could get stuck if you are taking the train there.

I was thinking of going to the Hatfield House Elizabethian Banquet and have been investigating it. I also heard the Tower one at the dock was not good. There is a tour company that goes to the banquet at http://www.barclayweb.com/DESTINAT/U...SUPS/tours.htm. It is 97 pounds, so it is double the price of admission alone to the banquet. Keep me informed if you find out anything else. I'm going to London 8/24 - 8/31 with my husband and eight year old.

We had a great time at the Hatfield banquet. Sorry, I can't help with tours, we had a car.

Thanks for the information. Sounds like we should look into the one at Hatfield House. I'm glad I asked!

Our group enjoyed Hatfield House, the grounds and the banquet very much. According to their website, the dinners are £34.50 (Tu), 36 (F) and 39 (Sat), so $97 is really not double (but still quite a bit more).
