Clarence House ... worth seeing?

Is the Clarence House worth seeing, or is really not a big deal? I think I can sneak in before it closes Oct 8.

I never knew it was open but I'd go see it.

Though I haven't been to Clanrece House - yet, from what I've read it should be worth a visit. The rooms on view are supposed to have been preserved as they were when the late Queen Mother lived there.

Prince Charles, who now lives there, just started opening it to the public last year.

I'd surely try to get there. The Queen Mother was one of the most interesting characters in the Royal Family. I haven't been yet. It opened to the public in 2003 and I haven't been in London during Aug or Sep since then I definitely plan on going next time I'm in town during its opening.

Thanks. I think I've missed out on booking, though ... it's all out for tomorrow. Should have done it earlier. Oh well, there's lots else I want to see.

We enjoyed seeing this historic house. Many pounds were spent on renovation before Prince Charles moved in but much remains from the years that the Queen Mother [the present queen's mother] spent there. Before that the Queen and Prince Philip lived there, along with Charles and Princess Anne. You might wait at the entrance for a cancellation since it is open for such a short period during the year.
