Edinburgh B&B recommendations
Going to Scotland in October and looking for recommendations for a B&B or Hotel that is close (walkable) to Royal Mile. Also, one that doesn't have a lot of stairs (hopefully has a lift)
Thanks in Advance

We’ve stayed here twice, just a block off Royal Mile. Elevator, breakfast included, under Ł250.
Actually saw it recommended here on Fodors before our first trip to Scotland.
October will be a wonderful visit.

$300 is approx Ł230 per night. Edinburgh is an expensive city but you should be able to find something decent in your budget. Look at centrally located Premier Inns, Travelodges, maybe the HI Express. Rates can be VERY date specific so I'd start by plugging your dates into booking.com and filtering for location/price/elevator then you can look at the individual hote websites to see if you ca do better booking directly.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ibis Hotel at St. Andrews Square. Has an elevator. Very conveniently located. We walked to the Royal Mile, National Museum of Scotland, and all the restaurants we dined at. Rate was about $300 - $320 USD.

We love Tigerlily for food, cocktails etc and it gets good reviews.
It also has rooms but I don't know the stairs/lift situation as we stay in a holiday cottage when in the area.

>>The final accessible boutique hotel on our list is Tigerlily. It has disabled rooms on the fifth and sixth floor with an accessible shower and toilet. As they’re not on the ground floor there is a lift to get there.

14 Hart in New Town. Elegant decor; very comfortable rooms, fine breakfast and wonderful hosts, It was everything we wanted. The walk to the Royal Mile was fine. I've recommended it to others here who agreed. Surprisingly good prices.

We also stayed at the Ibis St Andrews Square, great location, walkable to the Royal Mile, Waverly Station, the tram and to buses. Breakfast buffet included. Many restaurants in the area. Our room was on the fifth floor with a balcony and so a bit larger than the average room, so possibly more expensive. If not already a member, join Accor group of hotels for a discounted rate.
