Has anyone stayed at Jurys Christchurch or Bewleys Ballsbridge. SiobhanPr anyone else: do you have another recommendation in the Ballsbridge area.

I stayed at Jury's Christchurch last weekend for 2 nights. I thought the location was excellent - the only time I used any transport was to get to/from Dublin airport. It is easy to walk anywhere within the city from there.

Based on reports I had read on this site it seems that this hotel is considered very good value for the location. I had no complaints - nice room, clean and had all the amenitieies I needed. For my quick trip location was the number one factor though.

are you specifically looking at staying in Ballsbridge? If so, you can cross Jurys Christchurch off your list!

A friend of mine stayed in Bewleys in Ballsbridge recently and she really loved it - and the price was very good too. Of course if money is no object, you could stay at the Four Seasons across the road! Otherwise, the Berkley Court, the Herbert Park Hotel and Jurys Hotel Ballsbridge are all good hotels. There is also the Schoolhouse Hotel - it is a gorgeous bar and nice restaurant, but that might make it quite noisy as a hotel, especially with the smoking ban as you get quite a lot of people standing outside.

The schoolhouse is very cute but gets noisy especially if there is a nice day as the bar and outside gets busy after work. I think Bewleys Ballsbridge is ideal and good value for money. The restaurant is mean to be nice as well. There are also several options for various B&B's in Ballsbridge from normal to quite upmarket.

Bewleys is good value for money at 99 euros per room.they also have studio rooms for the same price. they have made the bathroom slightly smaller and put in a small kitchen.great value. the herbert park is 156 euros per room but this does include a good breakfast
hope this helps

That must be a special rate for the Herbert Park as I think it's much higher normally.

Thanks to all for your replies. Bewleys sure seemed like the best value, especially with the Air Coach stopping right in front!
Thanks again.

not sure about a special rate. i stayed there on saturday night,i got the same rate 3 months ago. the rooms are nicer than bewleys, and the bonus is free parking. bewleys charge for parking.
although at 99 EUROS per night bewleys is still a snip
