dublin 6 hour layover
We(my 7 and 10 year old child) have a 6 hour layover flying from the US to Rome. Is it worth it to go into Dublin or is it more of a hassle. I'm not sure how far away the airport is and whether traffic will be a factor at 9:00 AM. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

The aerdart has gone. If anybody wants to see some of Europe`s oldest buildings (about 5,000 years old) get a car at the airport and visit Newgrange and Knowth, about 30 miles north of the airport and just a few miles off the M1 motorway.First though read about them on www.knowth.com - they may not be your cup of tea.Three or four hours should see you back at the airport.

I like johngerards advice.
If it were me with my 2 grandchildren of the same age, I'd get a taxi to Malahide or Howth. They will enjoy walking around, looking at the sea, having a snack at a tea shop and window shopping. I like the lay out of Malahide. Not to hilly.
