Day rooms available at CDG?
Hello everyone,
I will be flying from the states to Paris and arriving early in the morning. I then have a connecting flight to Johannesburg at 11:15 the same evening. Is it possible to get a hotel room at or near the airport for just 6-8 hours? Flying from the east coast I'll only have a few hours to sleep on the way over and will definitely need a nap and shower before getting on another long haul flight. Thanks for your help.

There are lots of hotels within a short shuttle ride from the airport. Here's a list:

And there's one - a Sheraton - that's actually right AT the airport.
I think you'd need to pay for a full night's stay, though.

One word: soundproofing. Airport hotels vary widely with regard to how much jet noise gets in.
You might get a better day's rest in town. Maybe take the Air France shuttle to Gare de Lyon and rack out at a little pension around the Marais. Or the RER to Luxembourg in the Latin Quarter.
If you want to squeeze in a little sightseeing, the Paris Visite card will get you downtown on the train plus unlimited Métro and bus travel for €16.75
