Hotel choices near Charles de Gaulle airport 2012?

I'm short a night in my apartment before leaving to Prague Oct 12.

I'll taxi from Bastille to CDG Thurs morning & need a hotel for one night which is clean, has decent wifi, and easy transport to the terminals (2B). (Luggage unworkable for train use--solo traveler).

Most recent thread in 2011 suggests Hilton or Sheraton.

Anyone have more recent feedback or recommendations?

Thanks
Karen

Look on Priceline. The Ibis is there and always clean.

Depends on your budget. There are a lot of hotels right at CDG (or within a short shuttle ride). The Sheraton is actually IN the airport, so very convenient (but not cheap).

If you are short one night in Paris and have an early morning CDG flight the next day, I should make a reservation at the Ibis (if price is important) or the Hilton (possibly now a Pullman), Novotel, or Sheraton, leave my luggage at Gare du Nord and take the RER (it´s a straight shot to CDG) or Gare de Lyon (taking the AF Bus to CDG). Either of these train stations have luggage storage and easy access to CDG.

I should spend the day in Paris and go to the hotel in the late afternoon or evening. If you go to a CDG hotel early in the day, there will be very little to nothing for you to do and the food in and around the airport is not particularly good, in fact it´s generally horrible.

As i said in my profile, comparrison sites are definetly the way to save yourself some money. Booking direct may seem better because they are the actual companies you will be using but comparrison companies are able to negotiate lower prices to get them more more traffic and business.

The other thing thats good about them is that in some cases, once you have booked whatever it is that you need, if you subsequently find it cheaper they might even refund what you payed!! Everybody wins
