In a few weeks I'm heading down to visit my house in SC and in early October I'm heading to Colorado and New Mexico! I just came up with the plan the other night and I've already put it into action. More Balloon Fiesta photos, some national parks photos, some Rockies, this will be fun!

Alas, we shall not meet then. we'll be going June 13 through July 6th, doing a 'highlands and islands' sort of thing. Edinburgh - Inverness - Orkney - Isle of Lewis - Isle of Skye - Isle of Mull - Glasgow. 9 people. Am I insane???
Three nights each in each place. Me, husband, parents, and 5 girlfriends (we all used to be singing wenches together in the ren faire)

I was just thinking of topping this.
30 days until my CO and NM trip... and 73 days until Portugal!
Amy, right on! I got your email - sounds like you are going to be the new Rome expert afterwards. Context Rome is great, you will really like them.
llorac, I just saw your post. I don't, alas. The Antica Torre runs 250E a night, the Albergotto runs roughly the same. I really recommend them though!

13 days, 16 hours until hubby and I leave for our 11-day trip to Paris celebrating our 10th anniversary. It's been a long time coming...we booked this trip in March and since then, have almost had to cancel due to a family illness in April (which unfortunately became a death) and then a relocation from WA to CA a few weeks ago. We've got a hotel booked, Hotel Henri IV Rive Gauche, which we stayed at last time and liked, but are still trying to find an apartment in the 6th where there's better access to cafes, etc (yes, we know it's rugby world cup, but are trying anyway!) See my other post today if you'd like to weigh in:

We leave for Paris on October the 13th,(third time there but last time was 4 years ago) have 6 days there then a few days in Rome, then Florence then Venice, then the LONG flight back to Tasmania. We have all the flights, trains, hotels etc booked, still waiting to get the tickets for the Borghese in Rome, hope we don't miss out as that is the main reason for visiting Rome this time but tickets are not available until 13th September - that is the one down side so far!
