In 45 hours, my wife and I leave Canada for our first trip to Italy and Greece.
In Italy we will be seeing Venice, Cinque Terre, Pisa, San Gimignano, Siena and Rome. We will have our first experience traveling by train & bus.
In Greece, we will be visiting Santorini, Paros and Athens. From Paros we will be making day trips to Delos and Mykonos, and Antiparos.
With help from this and other forums and websites, we are ready and confident of a "GREAT" holiday.

9 days 'til I head to Chicago and 36 or 37 days until I go back to Paris (can't decide if I'll leave Thursday or Friday); just in time for the Fetes de Vendanges de Montmartre (have always wanted to see this).

anne5o57, you'll be there in time for the wine festival, too!
Hey flygirl! Have a fab time in all your new haunts and be sure to send me photos (your Venice ones were classic)!

34 days until we leave from USA to Athens, then on to Turkey, Greek Islands, Dubrovnik, Venice and Paris.
This is our second trip to Europe.
We also spend every February (for the last 18 years) out of the country - in Mexico.

No trips in my immediate future except a trip with the high school band to New York City for the Veteran's Day Parade in November. I guess that qualifies. It is in 60 days. Hey Beatchick, have fun in Paris, I know you always do. Did you ever get a chance to look at my pics from 2006? I never heard from you again after I posted the link and I haven't frequented this site much in a while. I'm hoping to change from Elementary to High School next school year and teach History so my travels to Europe should start back up when I can get a group together, in 2009 or 2010.

35 hours and counting! I'll be flying off to Glasgow for a couple nights, followed a couple nights on the Isle of Skye, and we'll finish off with 2 nights in Ballachulish in the Highlands. I've never been to the UK and I'm finally letting myself get excited as of today. I keep thinking something is going to come up and we won't be able to go - we've had a couple close calls already. But I think it's now safe to say I'm going to Scotland tomorrow!

fischerl - I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains - right in the redwoods - I bet you will be coming to my area! Hope you enjoy your trip - the redwoods are truly amazing. Be sure to walk the Redwood Loop at Henry Cowell Park - it's especially beautiful this time of year.
I'm leaving three weeks from today for Europe - Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Venice and Paris. Can't wait!
