Now that my Ireland trip has passed I can add to this post once again!
We are leaving October 19th for Japan. This will be our first Asia trip and I'm so excited! We are spending a week and splitting our time between Tokyo and Kyoto.

First-ever trip to Europe a month from today! Hubby and I are celebrating our 15th anniversary. 8+ hour layover in Amsterdam. Want to see some spring flowers, not sure if we can make it to Keukenhof Gardens in that amount of time. Then off to Munich, where we will rent a car and drive to Austria. Going to see the KTM motorcycle factory in Mattighofen. Hoping also to see Hallstatt, Garmisch, some castles, and National Parks. Very exciting...

My next trip is to Rome, leaving June 29, 2007. 86 days away. It will be my husband, 13 year old son and myself. It's our first trip anywhere in Europe.
Not ready. Taking a week off in April to finish shopping, checklists, put the rest of my sight seeing itinerary together. I love the planning.
I am looking forward to seeing the Vatican and family tree research near Lake Como.

We leave in five weeks from today.
And this trip is so needed. My Gramma (my Mom's Mom) died last week and her funeral was a week ago today.
She was 91 so she lived a good long life but it's still tough to think that someone who was such an influence in my life is gone.
Last summer we had an ovarian cancer scare with my Mom (she's fine!) and that's when I decided I was taking her on this trip this May.
Life is short everyone - Carpe Diem!

We leave the end of May for Italy....Rome; Amalfi Coast ( touring Sorrento, Capri, Pompeii) and staying in Vietri Sul Mare; Florence; pit stops ( that I could do without, part of a tour ) in Pisa and Padua; Venice; pit stop in Verona; Stresa; day trip to Lugano, Switzerland; and then one last blow out night ( 20 hour layover ) in Paris! This is my second time to Italy.....first time for my DH and friends and DH and I have been to Paris at least a half dozen times or so.
I'm most looking forward to returing to Venice. Plus, it'll be great to experience the excitement of everyone else as they see/do things for the very first time!!
Other than airport transfers, which I'm working on, and our two first days in Rome......I have everything pretty much "set." I can't wait!!

I leave in 4 days for France. From Paris, I go directly to Dijon. Five days in Dijon (day trip to Beaune and, maybe, Autun -- oh, and hopefully the countryside for a little drive). On to 3 days in Bruges. And then five in Paris! Oo-la-la! What more could an overstressed girl need but a couple of weeks off work and kir?

Copper Canyons! Ay, Chihuahua! Ayyy, carrrrrramba!
