As to Chipping Camden..I can understand why people like it. When we visited we had the notion that we might have dinner somewhere but every place we inquired was booked for that evening. Of course, when we returned to Broadway a lot of the places there were booked for the night also.
The area is widly popular and once you've been there, and explored SEVERAL of the various villages and the wonderful countryside (including some of the backest of back roads it will be easy to see why so many people love it.

Okay, now that I'm home and all of my papers are in front of me...we are staying at The Old Stationhouse in Broadway, a B & B. (I know previously I said we were staying in a hotel.) I checked the reviews on Trip Advisor and they all were positive. It's in York that we are staying at a hotel, the Ramada Encore. We will definitely visit Chipping Camden, Burton on the Water and try out the Swan. I'm always amazed at how much information I get from this site. Thanks you again. Helene
