Costa Del Sol is quite a good sized area so cannot imagine doing much of anything in one day. Where are you before or after that one day? I have spent a few months a winter in the Costa Del Sol for many years, in the Torremolinos and Fuengirola area and enjoyed it very much. However not sure about November, although can imagine it would still be quite nice. My experiences were January through March, all of which generally were in the 60-70 and up degrees, however like the rest of the world, weather is getting a little less predictable. I guess I wouldn't worry too much about the weather if I was only going to be one day anyway. However it does have the name meaning Coast of the SUN. Have a good time. Halfpint

As already pointed out, the Costa del Sol encompasses a large area and even though I am not fond of the overbuilding, it's still one of the most attractive parts of Spain because of the year around weather and scenery. The weather in November should be rather decent.
You can check out what's going on in Costa del Sol at the following official web site, which you should find very useful.

We were there in November and had mixed weather. As is true of anyplace, you really can never be sure of the weather, but you might check out weatherunderground.com and do a history check, but as many have pointed out, the Costa Del Sol includes a big area--I'd run the check on Malaga since it's the largest city in the area, but for one day only, it probably isn't where you want to go--Nerja would probably be better for one day.

Where will you be when you have the spare day? The Costa del Sol is the southernmost part of Spain in the region of Andalucia. How will you get there?
Do you want to rest for the day or do you want to sightsee?
I too spend winters in Spain in the Costa del Sol area so I cannot agree with anyone who says it is not worth a visit. It all depends what you want.
In November the weather can be cool or it might be very nice. Hard to tell. It certainly won't be beach weather.

Both, your question and StCirq's answer, are too broad to mean anything useful, really. There are sections of Costa del Sol that are lovely and worth enjoying, even if for a day. A day trip to Marbella, Malaga, Puerto Banus is worth considering. There is no typical November weather day; the day will start a bit cloudy, by 10am it could be sunny and pleasant (upper 60's-low 70's), or rain-sprinkle all day. Do dress in layers and take a good windbreaker with you. Even driving along the coast, taking detours to some Pueblos Blancos is a superb way to enjoy Costa del Sol in November.
