Correct Way to Address Letter to Italy
I sent a package to a friend in Italy, but it was returned because "incompleto" and then written on it is something diffcult to make out "Manca ciVico". Is the correct placement of the postal code? Should this work? Thanks.

Someone asked a similar question on another forum, and this is a link to the answer I posted yesterday:

I notice you did city, then region, and you put the code before the country. You actually don't need to put the region. But you DO need to put the province. The 2-letter abbreviation of the province goes in parentheses after the nameof the city or town. The # code goes in front of the city, not in front of the country (though not sure that the misplacement would affect delivery). The province code is essential. See the full example I posted in other forum.

Statia is correct.
Of course when you write the street you must also put the street number too. I give you an example of a typical italian address:
John Rossi
Via Bellini n? 10
00100 Roma
(Italy)
If Mr Rossi lives in a small town like I do, you should also add the province, like this following example:
John Rossi
Via Bellini n?10
0010 Stresa (Verbania)<--- between brackets you put the city the small town (that is Stresa) belongs to.
And then at the end you write country:
Italy
