Even though I booked my own flight to Paris this November, directly with the airline, I went to Orbitz and Expedia, not only to compare prices but to see how many options I had from SFO to CDG. You could also do the same from DC or NY to Copenhagen.

Actually, IMO the easiest way to find out the options is by going to an aggregator site such as www.itasoftware.com
For the departure point input the letters WAS which will show the departures from <b>all three</b> Washington-area airports.
You can also use the WAS for Orbitz, Expedia, etc.

I took the SAS nonstop IAD-CPH two years ago and it was fine--Airbus with seatback entertainment, OK food and service, coach seats no better or worse than any other coach seats. My 6'7" husband was in Biz class and had no complaints.
We used United and USAir ff miles to purchse the tickets.
