Cinque Terre hotel feedback

Hi,

I'm planning to stay two nights in Cinque Terre. The hotels I have narrowed down to are:

Camere Giuliano (Vernazza)
Hotel Steno (Monterosso al Mare)
Hotel Pasquale (Monterosso al Mare)

Any recent feedback on these hotels (or the location of these hotels) is much appreciated.

Thanks.

John H.

Are you driving? Big difference in Vernazza and Monterosso.

We have stayed twice at the Villa Steno and will do so again this year. We obviously like the place. The hotel sits on a hill overlooking Monterosso. We enjoy the larger than the average 2/3 star Italian hotel shower, the decks are great for enjoying the Ligurian sunshine and the breakfast is more than adequate, consisting of breads cereals, yogurts, fruits, juices, jams and coffee. As a bonus, the hotel is operated by some of the nicest people you could hope to meet. There is a small parking lot but they ask that you reserve a spot prior to your arrival.
We have not stayed at the Pasquale but it is operated by the same family and is close to the sea. Whatever you decide, have a great time.

Stayed in Monterosso hotel - The Suisse Bellevue. If you can get a room with view of coast, very beautiful. About a 10 minute ride up the hill. The have a parking lot and shuttle every hour to town. Room #20 has the best views - acorner room with balconies on 2 sides.

I have not stayed there yet but I have reservations for Villa Steno in April. It came highly recommended on both this site and Rick Steves's book. It looks wonderful on the site.

Do not stay in Vernazza with a car. I like either of the Pasani hotels in Monterosso, but I would also look at Da Baranin in Manarola and Villa Margherita in Levanto--just north of Monterosso. The car will not be a problem in these towns.

Thanks to all of you for your feedback -- very much appreciated. I have emailed the Steno and Pasquale for availability and will do a little research on the other hotels suggested.

Many thanks.
