Hi all, any suggestion for a reasonably priced hotel in Barcellona, ideally close to Liceu undeground station?

What exactly do you mean with reasonably priced?

I stayed at Hostal Operaramblas a few days in December 2012. It's on a small side street behind the Liceu Theatre. The enuite single room was small but very clean. They clean the room daily, but only change towels every second day and sheets every fourth day to save on the environment. There is an elevator. At that time it cost 39 Euro/night. My only complaint was the thin walls.

The Regencia Colon Hotel. You can walk to the Metro, several stations actually. Depends on how far you really want to walk.

Some friends just stayed at Orleans Hotel.. No elevator and they were on third floor, but they said it was very clean and would go back.

Without a specific amount in euros it's hard to know what you are looking for - either budget or amenities (are you willing to share bath, walk up stairs and do without AC?)

hmmm. both these sites posted by new posters lead eventually just to hotelscombined dot com.. not sure why they wouldn´t just do that unless they are trying to get in on the deal via their personal link.

If cheap, does it also have to be safe?

Regencia Colon is within walking distance of the opera house and other sights as well as convenient to the JaumeI Metro.
