Small Place to stay in Barcelona

Looking for a small place to stay that won't break the bank and is centrally located. Will be staying for 4 nights.

Try Hotel Continental Palacete..Very well located and not an arm and a leg. It is on Rambla de Cataluna and the only drawback if there is one is it is rather extensively decorated in pink.Someone commented it was pink on steroids!!They also have a 24hr free buffet..handy when worn out from site/sight seeing!!

I wonder what you mean by "small". Cheap ? or really a small place like hostals and hotels with only a few rooms?

Also the others cannot tell how big/small is your bank, it would help if you gave us your budget in numbers ( in EURO). If you cannot, as ribeirasacra posted, try those booking sites and see for yourself.

That said, I have stayed at Hotel Pelayo just off the Plaça de Catalunya ( so VERY central ) 2 years ago in low season and it was €30.00 without breakfast, for a single room. Room was small but not tiny, very plein as expected from the price, on the other hand ensuite bathroom was rather spaceous with a bathtub. The hotel occupied one floor of a building. Certainly small having maybe 10 - 15 rooms.

Thanks for your feedback. Small meaning not too many rooms, less than 50 (family owned). Not cheap, less than 100 euros a night.

Why don't you just get a flat?

Standard rooms tend to be small, 16-18 m2, but perfect if you're on a budget. And I like that they give you "complimentary toiletries", instead of having to bring your own.

Itaroli. I stay in that hotel man many years ago. They have now upgraded the facilities. But I can say it is a good location, with not so much traffic. Go for it

If you fancy an apartment see my trip report for a great place near Marine metro and walking distance to Born, Parc de la Ciutadella etc. It's the first link in the report.
