CDG Hotel, late arrival & early departure

Help, I've been searching on here for advice on a decent hotel at CDG. Decent and resonable that is. There are a lot of postings, but unfortunately some are very old and I have not had suceess in booking. Has anyone stayed there within the last few months? We fly in from Prague at 8:30pm and leave the next day at 11:00 am. Thanks for any help!

We stayed one night at the Sheraton, which is literally inside the terminal two floors above the train station and an easy walk to our gate for our flight.

Definitely "decent" (actually a nice business class hotel) but maybe not fitting your idea of "reasonable" on cost.

This is good Priceline territory. If you're not familiar with PL, go to biddingfortravel.com and study the bidding process thoroughly.

If you bid at the 4* level for CDG, you'll be very likely to get one of the hotels below. Do not bid at the 3* level because one of the hotels is not convenient to CDG.

Hyatt Regency Paris - Charles De Gaulle
Dorint Sofitel Airport Roissy
Sheraton Paris Airport
Hilton Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport

We stayed recently at the Radisson SAS www.radissonsas.com near CDG. It's a reasonable, decent business hotel offering the usual amenities plus a/c and a free airport shuttle. We paid around $120 for a kingbed room, no breakfast included. We would definitely stay there again considering the price and convenience. Check rates on their website as well as bookings.com, expedia, and others.

Thanks everyone for your help. I checked out the website for hotels and found a few that sounded pretty good. But then, thank you Betsy, I decided to do the priceline thing and got the Hilton for $120. US, perfect!

The Suite Hotel at Charles de Gaulle is very nice...suitehotel.com. Get a room facing the front of the hotel. There's a restaurant right across from the hotel and the shuttle bus to the airport stops right out front. It's the hotel called CDG Paris Nord 2. There are two Suite Hotels. When you're on the shuttle from the airport, the first stop will be at the one called, Roissy ville(?) and then the second stop will be about 30 seconds away and that's the Nord 2 one. It's best to stay at the Nord 2 one as there is a restaurant nearby. All of the rooms are suites...30 square meters big with a mini kitchen and one and a half bathrooms. A friend who worked for Accor told me about it when the concept first went into effect a few years ago so he made the reservation for me from the here in the States at the U.S. office. Happy Travels!

With the CDGVAL operating, it's even easier to get to the Hilton. Just take it to the Terminal 3 stop (which also serves the CDG1/3 RER station). The hotel is adjacent to that station. No need to wait for Hilton's shuttle bus.

This past May, I flew into CDG from JFK (NYC), I arrived at 9 pm. I stayed at an Ibis hotel at the airport. It was a special deal for 49 Euros. Perfectly adequate for a night's sleep. Next morning, I picked up my rental car and drove to Cahors.

Check out their site: www.accorhotels.com

Hope this helps..

Well, I did exactly that last saturday!
I arrived from Istanbul at 10PM Terminal 2B and was leaving for Toronto next morning at 11:30AM terminal 2

Two days before, I went looking on the internet for a hotel, and found the Sofitel Roissy for 120 euro a night, including breakfast (I was traveling solo).

They have a shuttle bus that runs between all of the terminals. They are located on CDG grounds, so 5/10 minutes to gates

The hotel? I rank it as the best Paris hotel I have ever stayed at...of course, I have never stayed at 4-star hotel before. Very upscale, superb service, most comfortable hotel bed I've ever been in, and a very good breakfast. If I could get tha rate for a long term stay...it would be tempting to RER to the city every day.

I booked directly from their website.

I too am a big fan of priceline, especially for airport hotels. I always bid 4* or more if they have it, always have gotten the Hilton or Sheraton and have been very pleased with the room and also with the price of $100 more or less. I send an email before we go to confirm and request a certain bed or location and they always give me what I want. Have been happy with priceline in Paris and Amsterdam and London airports...I think that you will be too.
