For Sydney Steve:

The Palacio de Seteais does have some good packages, if they are in your price range.

Rozelle is considering a double with bath for 70 euro at the Pensao Londres. It isn't in the same neighborhood of pricing as the five-star property you selected.

I am sure that you will enjoy your stay for it is a beautiful and sophisticated facility.

However, let's help Rozelle with information in the price range she was inquiring about.

She was the original poster, after all.

You can always start another post, if you want, about the Palacio de Seteais.

A few points for you Georgine. Firstly I dont think bitchy behavour on behalf of others is warranted. They can speak for themselves and your comments are third party derived and not constructive. They are possibly comments that provide more insight about you than the Subject. I read rozelle's posts carefully and money was of course not mentioned. Fortunately you may have the experience to know the prices of the few hotels referred to. Others don't and at the same time wish to be helpful. Further, the hotel that I have chosen after a lot of research has recently been given a massive wrap in a series of Guides and magazines - note 3 Frommer stars in the latest guide recently released and a rating in the top ten hotels close to a beach in Europe in Conde Nast. Others have mentioned the Tivoli Sintra before which is a totally different hotel and that is a fact not known to many. I just wanted to make sure that was understood because there has been a recurrent lack of knowledge. All I know is that I am paying less than 50 percent of the tariff for comparative properties in the Conde Nast list that are ahead of or equivalent to the Tivoli Palacio de Seteais. I figure that after the full dinner, tour with driver etc we are paying about 130-140 E per night max. Another point for your consideration georgine is that other people who have an interest in the subject raised by the poster may be interested and I don think the poster would wish to feel possessive about controlling the outcome of the post in that regard. Thank you. Let us all seek to be positive.
