I have a quick 3-day business trip to Lisbon in mid-September (Mon-Wed). Planning on flying in a few days early and leaving a few days later with DH joining me. Any recs for a recommended side-trip on each side of the business trip to see a variety of the country without a lot of additional travel, etc. Beaches, wine, and/or spa would be preferrable.

Definitely Sintra. You like the beach so perhaps Cascais and its fantastic Guincho Beach would be nice.
