We enjoyed staying at Hispanos7Suizas apartments near La Sagrada Familia. www.hispanos7suizas.com or look under Epoch Hotels group. There is a metro station nearby as well as a sstop for the Hop on Hop off bus. The apartments are nice 2 BR/2 Bath units, washing machine/dryer/dishwasher/balcony. There are food markets around the corner. There is also a front desk with very helpful staff. We paid 160Euro p/night last July and stayed for a week.

we rented an apartment for 5 nights in Sept. through www.barcelona30.com
at a cost of $168 per night (821.48 euros for the 5 nights). It was called the Passeig de Gracia apartment in the Eixample area, just north of the Placa de Catalunya. It was very small but had a nice terrace.

Hi Karen,
most Barcelona apartments will charge on the number of persons, not necessarily 1br/studio status.
Your budget will easily cover a very nice apartment in the city centre for a small group.
Look for apartments in El Borne, Gotico or Barceloneta if you want to be near cultural interest and nice restaurants. I recommend Barceloneta at this time of year, since it's city central but by the beach and the sun will be shining.
You definitely want an apartment with an outdoor area.
I recommend these:

Happy hunting
