Barcelona Hotels

We're sailing on "Voyager of the Seas" departing from Barcelona on May 24th. We need a hotel on May 23rd, and May 31-June 2nd.
Any suggestions on a decent hotel that won't cost a fortune due to the high Euro?

Please define "won't cost a fortune"? 100 euros? 200 euros? 300 euros?

Have ytou tried Priceline.com ? If you learn how to bid, you probably can pick up a 'decent' hotel at a good price.

Try the H10 chain - they have several nice locations in barcelona. all are a little different and cost accordingly.

Hotel Apsis Splendid was less than 100 euro per night a while back. Didn't do breakfast, there were several bakeries nearby.

It was near Placa Universitat, a block from the metro, not too far from the top of the Ramblas.

Hi we stayed in an apartment for 100 euro/night booked through inside BCN. It was i bedroom, very clean in the El born district. Easy taxi to the port. I would definitely stay here again over a hotel. It was there Esparteria 1. It was in a safe vibrant area with great restaurants close by. 2 blocks from Picasso museum.

We were very happy with the Hotel Lleo--well located, large rooms, modern bathrooms, friendly & helpful front desk staff.

You might want to take a look at venere.com. They allow you to search by price, star rating, etc. I've used them extensively for our trips to Europe and never been disappointed. the photos on the website are quite accurate. Be sure to read the comments from former guests...they often give a little additional insight.

We are staying at the Chess Atlantis in Barcelona in October at a rate of 107 euros. I found this hotel on the Trip Advisor. It sounded like a good choice. You might want to check it out.
