Boutique hotel in Barcelona?

Hello, My friend and I will be in Barcelona and then Madrid at the end of November. We would like to stay somewhere near the city centers, price range 50-100 Euros per night. Any recommendations for places with charm and comfort? Thank you in advance for any reply, and happy travels.

The Continental Palacete is a very nice boutique-ish hotel in the Eixample district (the Gaudi architecture sector just north of Placa Catalunya) that's around 100 euro a night in the off season.

check out a website I love called i-escape. They specialize in cool and unusual boutique hotels. I've stayed at 2 in Italy from their website.

The Banys Orientals Hotel on Argentaria (metro Jaume 1) on the edge of the Bari Gotic should meet your budget. It's a really nice area to stay in as well, lots of great tapas bars, Picasso Museum 2 minutes walk away, the Cathedral 5 minutes, las Ramblas less than 10 Minutes. (I rented an apartment just round the corner from the hotel, and would go back to that part of Barcelona at the drop of a hat..... Also I was with my two teenage daughters and we felt perfectly safe in that area, if that is a consideration for you.)
