B&B or guest house recommendation in Edinburgh
Three of us will be in Edinburgh Jan 9 for 3-4 days. We could use a triple or single and double. We like to be in town but have a limited budget. Any comments on the Castle View?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi,
Three of us stayed at the Castleview for a short stay three years ago. We had a huge family room with ensuite bathroom. It had a double bed and two singles, plenty of space for other furniture and a window seat with a view of the Castle.
The only problem for me (being arthritic) was that it is at the top of an old city building without a lift and we had to carry ourselves and the luggage about four flights of stairs.
However the room was great and so was the breakfast so if you are fit, I recommend it.

We stayed at this wonderful B&B in April and it couldn't have been better! Its a quick walk to Princes Street, beautiful location, beautiful rooms, etc.

We stayed at the Castle View Guest House and loved it. We stayed in the same room the previous poster mentioned (1 doulbe 2 twins) and it was great. The owner is Irish and was helpful and friendly. But, of course, beware of the stairs if that is a problem for you.
