B and B in Edinburgh

I looked at a list of B and Bs in Edinburgh, but it is quite long.

Does anyone have a specific recommendation for me? There will be two of us and we would like to be fairly close to Princess Street or the Castle.

I know there are some good places on the periphery, but for this stop I want something centrally located.

I am not looking for the ultimate in comfort, but I would like something in the quality middle range. Price? I would like to keep it under $200 a night, preferably in the $140 to $170 range for two.

We stayed at a B&B that would be in your price range but perhaps not your preferred location. It was Seven Danube Street which was a bit of a walk but not too far--in a neighborhood of Edwardian style townhomes in the direction of Newtown/Stockbridge. We had a beautiful room overlooking a garden. The owners do a wonderful breakfast.

Well - this is probably the best located B&B in Edinburgh - just off Princes (one s) Street and w/ a view of the Castle.

I did hear they were selling/closing but the website is still up so maybe plans changed. Worth a shot anyway. If they are still in business you could not pick a better place (as long as you have no mobility issues since there is no elevator)

Hi...check out Ingrams...location is right...but, they are a little pricey as the rooms are per person per night, including breakfast...

We stayed there a night in May and were very pleased!

The best place for B & B would be Geralds Place, Abercromby Place www.geraldsplace.com
It is near Queen Street/George Street and a short walk to Princes Street with the same distance again to the Royal Mile / Castle.
Have a look at tripadvisor.com as it gets excellent reviews
