Hannah,
On the outskirts of Donegal town is Lough Eske, and on the banks of that lovely lake is a memorable accommodation, Ardnamona.
Ardnamona is a heritage house, featuring five bedrooms, noteworthy gardens, and splendid views of Lough Eske. It's an ideal base from which to explore nearby Donegal town, the magnificent cliffs of Slieve League, and the rugged natural beauty that is western County Donegal.
Best of luck.

Thanks
Davidd, your recommendation was lovely, I went to their web site, but it is a little more than we want to pay as we travel through Donegal. Maybe another time.
MaryZ, I did e-mail Island View about accommendations-thanks.
We are traveling with 4 others which makes it a little more difficult to find B&B's. When it is only the 2 of us traveling we usually just find a B&B along the way, but with 6 I would feel more comfortable with confirmation of the places we are going to stay.
Thanks!

Hi HannahHall..We stayed at the Arches Country House on Lough Eske last May, and found it to be one of our favorites in our 21 day journey in Ireland. Wonderful hostess, Colleen...Sitting area (which we really enjoyed), in ensuite room, looking over Lough Eske. Beautiful dining room and a large guest lounge. Breakfast was very good, with lots of fruit..We would include this BandB in our itinerary for our next journey (our seventh)to Donegal. The price was 30.5 Euros then. Would highly reccomend this BandB...Helen

Hannah,
During September 2003 I stayed with:
The Cove Lodge
Liam & Joan McCrea
Drumgowan
Donegal Town, Co. Donegal
Tel: 073 22302
B&B Book: Town & Country
The house is brand new and gorgeous, run as a very efficient B&B. Rooms were impeccable and breakfast was wonderful... I highly recommend this one in Donegal.
Cheers,
Christopher
