Are there any hotels in France with 2 double beds for a family of 4?

My husband and i will be traveling with 2 girls in April in France. Do any of the hotels offer 2 double beds in the room, so as to sleep 4 of us? Or will i have to book 2 rooms? This could get very expensive. Any ideas?

Yes, we have the same challenge. We stayed at Le Meridien Montparnasse. There are two queen beds. It is a deluxe hotel, very quiet, though next to the rail/metro station.

Yes. I can recommend the Hotel Lyon Mulhouse. Close to the Bastille in the 11th on Beaumarchaise Blvd. Nice staff too, very helpful. Clean and neat place. (TV and elevator..tiny elevator but an elevator...)

And we also stayed at the Hotel St. Andre des Arts in the 5th. I enjoyed this historic old building, many would find it shabby. No TV and no elevator.

Neither hotel cost us 80E's... but that was June, 2002.

You didn't say how old the girls were, but Les Jardins du Marais (formerly the Home Plazza Bastille) has Jr Suites that have Bunk beds for children with a double bed for parents. All the rooms include an American style kitchenette with dishes, glassware, pots and pans, etc. There's also a children's playground in the courtyard.

We found lots of hotels in Paris for our family of four. Search my posts for names of some I considered. We reserved the Hotel la Bourdonnais, near the Eiffel Tower, in a family quad. Check tripadvisor.com for reviews of the places you consider.

You didn't specify where in France you're going, so I'll just give you a very general reply: Our family of four traveled all over France the past 17 years and found plenty of rooms with two double beds. We also found plenty of "chambres communicantes," two double rooms sharing a hallway and bath. Quads are harder to come by - most hotels have only one or two, if that - but they can be found.

Many Novotel and Mercure hotels offer bedding for four. Try here:

I think the HOliday Inn Republique has rooms like that, and I know several people on here mentioned they enjoyed staying there recently. It's not a cheap hotel, though.

Just met with a Fodorite at the bar of the Holiday Inn Republic, who said he had managed to stay there for as little as 99 euros. That has little to do with the rack rate, however.

we found a quad/family room at the Lion D'Or in Bayeux and also a quad room at the Claude Bernard in Paris. Both ran about 250e including breakfast/night
