Antique Store in Prague from Fodor's

Hi - I bought a current Fodor's for Prague and left it at home. Argh! There was an antique store listed in the "shopping" section. Anyone have the name? I am in Prague now and would like to visit.

The description mentioned purses from the 20s and 30s. I believe it was called Uzjezd but I cannot locate a store with this name.

help!

THANK YOU!!!

I don't know what you are referring to in Fodors guidebook, and wonder if you are remembering wrong. But there is an antique/collctible store named Art Deco Galerie which does have such items as purses from that period (obviously, by the name, that is the specialty). It's on Michalska just a bit south of the main square. see listing

I don't know about the Fodor's guide nor particular antique shops in Prague but there is a tram street called Ujezd that goes pararel with the river and Petrin hill on Mala Strana side. Ha-ha, maybe not much help.

There is a site like this.

I don't know Prague at all - but you might find it in the Fodor's Destination section of this site. Here's the page for Prague Shopping:
http://www.fodors.com/world/europe/c.../shopping.html

Or download the PDF version of the guidebook for $1.99 - $4.49. All the guidebooks available are here:

why do you "unlike" the URL I provided?

I checked the Fodors destinations for her and there isn't any store matching that description in there.

Found it! Thanks to all who submitted ideas. I now have a full day planned for antique shopping and will report back.
Here is the store that I was originally looking for...(although you have all provided so much more!

> Antique Ujezd

Ok, so it is located on Ujezd street. You needed to spell correctly, probably.

> why do you "unlike" the URL I provided?

No, it's not I "unlike" your .. (I did not even aware "unlike" can be a verb. I meant my URL was useless. Yours was fine.

Ujezd is just Ujezd not Ujezd street - and if you are so familiar with Prague the question was quite clear - a bit mispelled but recognisable...

Sorry I don't understand your comment. Ujezd is still a name of the street. Also when you do search (like google), correct spelling is often important (yes Google offers alternative if you mis-spell but not always correct alternative). Maybe OP had a problem at the beginning searching due to a wrong spelling.
