Zeus,
Early on, when they found out that racers could pull ahead to unbeatble leads, the producers developed this evening-up strategy at the beginning of every strategy. It took them a few races to realize that if this was done there was little reason for racers to come in first. To make being first worthwhile, they added the prizes for most legs--also beneficial for them commercially . . .

The NBC show was called Lost. It was great. They literally dumped teams in the middle of nowhere. The teams didn't know where they were and had to make there way back to the USA (The Statue of Liberty, I think) by bartering, begging and trading their meager belongings. I have seen a couple of episodes recently on the Fox Reality Channel.

Barbara - Ray flipped Yolanda "the bird" and it was fuzzed out in the picture but clearly obvious (and she asked him if had done this right after he did it). I think that's what she couldn't get over.
I agree with your view of Fran & Barry, and hope they're next to go!
Enjoy-la!

I know he flipped her off-behind her back (and quite frankly I don't blame him!), and I know they've only "been together" for four days prior to the Race, but she still needs to lighten up a lot. They never seem to have fun or paticularly enjoy anything. It's all too serious for them, well, for Yolanda. I don't see them staying together after this.
