Au revoir and merci from heavens...
We leave on Friday. Just want to say farewell to you all and thanks for the loads and loads of amazing information and helpful tips and advice for my trip to Paris. We are so excited, it is our first trip. We can't wait for the adventure to begin...am getting travel butterflies...
So, will come back in two weeks, maybe three and write my trip report.
I am so so serious when I say thanks to all my dear friends on this Europe board. You are all a joy to talk with and to learn from. Au revior and merci for all of your wonderful help.
PS. Wanna come with us?

Heavens, You better watch it when you make an invitation like that to this bunch... we'll all be rushing to the airport to buy a ticket and join you. Nothing like traveling with 50 of your new best friends from Fodor's!
I really do wish you the best of luck and (sorry I can't resist this) aren't you glad you came on over to the Europe board after all?

Thanks all. Yes, I would love all of you coming with me and showing me the way. But alas, this cannot be. I will have to learn it on my own, my own "version and vision" of Paris. Which is as it should be.
I have to admit, I am a little spoiled when it comes to travel. I used to be a FA with an international airline and whenever we would arrive to a foreign destination, there was always a group of senior travelers to hook up with and follow around, they knew the ropes; where to shop, where to eat, let's face it, they knew everything...
Suze, yes, I am so glad to have come over to the Europe board. See how far I've come? What a wonderful group of people to chat with. I'll miss you all.
Bought a beautiful travel journal yesterday at Barnes and Noble, so you will find me, robjame, sitting in a little corner cafe with my FODORS guide book in tow, writing in my black leather journal, sipping something very French.
So, until we meet again...(don't know how to say that in French) merci, merci and merci...
