Hi guys. Can you please suggest best public transport from naples to amalfi ? Whether train to salerno and then ferry to amalfi from there or bus from there ? Or, direct ferry from naples to amalfi ? or bus to sorrento and then ferry/bus to amalfi ? Also, please suggest best public transport option to come in the evening and till what time will there be public transport ? I intend to leave from naples at around 10-11am.

Also, which taxi app to use in naples ? I have a 6am flight from naples to amsterdam and need to catch a taxi.

Not clear... Are you trying to visit Amalfi as a day trip from Naples? (If so, 10-11a is not a very early start.) And is Amalfi the only town you hope to see on the coast?

And what time of year? Comparing options, journey times and hours of service all depend on time of year.

We've taken train to Salerno and ferry from there. Others have mentioned train to Sorrento and ferry or bus from there. We've also taken taxis from Salerno --they are available at the train and ferry areas.

But as Jean says, schedules depend on time of year.

Amalfi is the hub for busses/ferries to other spots; we often take the bus from there to Ravello, where we stay.

I've taken a taxi from Naples for a 6 a.m. flight; the hotel arranged it. We stayed at Piazza Bellini hotel and apts. 15-20 min to NAP at that hour.
