Amadeus or La Musica
Which building should we stay in Amadeus or La Musica in Seville. The latter is 20 Euro more, there's availability in both section in Feb. I have asked for the room not to be on the ground floor, they offered a street view room in La Musica and a superior room in Amadeus. Any major differences I should know about? We'll be 2 adults and an 11 year old in the room with an extra bed. Thanks!

Sorry I have not personally stayed but I have also been interested in both.
Does one choice have a private balcony or a terrace off the room?
Does one have the bath tub in the center of the bedroom room?
You have seen the website ?
I assume you have.
Can you get a look at the room numbers the are offering?
I think they will e mail you a photo of the specific room. I had them do that a while back
( but I had to postpone the trip to Sevilla. )

We had 3 rooms for our family group last March in La Musica and everybody was very happy.
You can look at our blog archives if you would like to know more or see pictures. We had a 6yo with us in our room of two adults with an extra bed. We had a street view which was nice, but there is some noise as it is a late night city. Did not bother us, but take ear plugs if you are noise sensitive.

We did not stay in the Armadeus, so can not compare. We did have breakfast there and really loved both places. The piano was particularly nice for us for my daughter to practice!!

Thank you for your replies. Yes, I have seen the hotel photos online, but they always post their best pics. I've asked for the room not to be on the ground floor, and to be non-smoking. We'll be there in Feb Sunday night thru Thursday, so hopefully the weekend noise would not be too much. I'll ask for photos of the specific rooms they are proposing, great suggestion.

Have not stayed at La Musica but we stayed at Amadeus two years ago and absolutely loved it. The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. The rooms and the linens were lovely. We were in Sevilla in September during record heat and the hotel was a quiet and comfortable oasis after long days outside.
The roof terrace at the Amadeus was a delightful place to have breakfast.
I don't think you could go wrong either way.

I've only stayed at Amadeus, and it was in a superior room. That photo with the tub in the middle of the room or something is really a suite or something very deluxe, I think, def. not a regular superior double room. I don't know where La Musica is, but the Amadeus isn't on a regular street, just a pedestrian narrow one. But there is always noise in those kind of areas because there are people walking down those streets going home late and talking, and the noise echoes on the stone buildings a lot. And people can talk very loudly.
They are nice there and were very accommodating in terms of telling you which photo on the website they were talking about. It was much noisier than I would have preferred, but that was due to people within the hotel, not outside. It was really noisy because the doors to the room are very thin, people stand around in the lobby area and the first floor in the Amadeus (which kind of has a railing and area with a coffee machine) and talk REALLY loudly. Also, the hotel plays music pretty loudly most of the day. Due to the design of these kind of buildings, the sound goes up a lot (central courtyard area). I think they stop that music playing in the evening before bedtime, but if you want to take a nap, you are in trouble.
At Amadeus, the higher the room the better in terms of noise in the hotel, I think.

I booked a Jr suite in Amadeus on a higher than ground floor. I was told by the hotel that Amadeus street noise is less than La Musica because it is on a pedestrian st. We're going in mid Feb so I'll report back.

Hi Yazlin,
We are also booked at La Musica - our first time there. La Musica appears to have recently updated rooms but quietness would be even better. I too, would appreciate your report since we won't be there until the beginning of April. Thanks in advance.
As mentioned above, I think the entire property is non-smoking. I'm not sure but I think that the two hotels are adjacent to each other. Have a great trip.

Just came back from a wonderful week in Spain. Stayed at Amadeus and it was everything I expected. Amadeus is quieter than La Musica since it's on a pedestrian street. We were in room # 201 on the 3rd floor. it was the Jr suite, that's the one with the jacuzzi in the middle of the room pictured on their web site, although it's nice to have it, I hardly use mine at home, so it was a waste of space. the hotel is small and cozy, very clean, non-smoking the staff is excellent and very helpful. Breakfast which is not included in the room rate was 7 Euros pp, it was not much, croissant, coffee, oranges and jam, you're better walking to a cafe around the corner for the variety at a lower price. It's in a perfect location, we walked everywhere. They have a computer with internet access available at no cost. Mozart music is played all the time, there's a baby grand piano in the reception area that guests play at all times of the day and night so that can be annoying at 11 pm. Overall I would definitely stay there again.

Yazlin,
Thanks for the report on the Amadeus. We'll be staying there in May. I believe we have a room on the first level, so we'll need our earplugs, correct?
Do you remember the name of the nearby cafe for breakfast? Did they serve hot items, like eggs, for example?
A couple of additional questions if you don't mind:
Did you arrive by train? If so how did you get from there to the hotel?
Kathy

Kathleen, sorry for the late response. Yes we arrived by train from Malaga and took a taxi for about 6 Euros from the station to Amadeus, they are available as soon as you get out of the station. I don't remember the name of the cafe, but if you take a left from the Amadeus entrance to the main street, then a right onto the narrow main street, it's a block on the right among 3 other cafes, it's less than a minute's walk. They did have a full menu including eggs.
