Alpieagles Question

Does anyone know if they are still in business?

I am trying to book a flight from Venice to Naples and no matter what day I pick I get no flight information at all.

I have tried e-mailing but no luck.

Any other inexpensive airlines between Venice and Naples?

Just trying to avoid a long train ride.

Thanks.

The Alpieagles route will require a change in Barcelona; I think Willit's suggestion might work better.

Assume you know about www.whichbudget.com

Alpieagles still flies VCE-NAP in codeshare with Alitalia AZ.

Check www.amadeus.net

AZ1222/E8 1720 06:50 - 08:05

AZ1220/E8 1724 15:25 - 16:40

or other options with AZ via Rome

I just checked the website www.alpieagles.com

For Jan 20, they list 3 flts at 29E + tax.

Still nothing for April. I guess I am learning patience.

For what it's worth, by late December I got tired of waiting for Alpieagles for an April flight from Sardegna to Venice and booked Meridiana to Verona instead (similarly to willit's suggestion to you). Venice to Verona by land is simple--hourly trains that take 1 1/2 hours, and additional slower trains. From Verona station to Verona airport, there's a bus every 20 minutes that takes 15 minutes. Meridiana's not dirt-cheap, but it's okay, if you get a "promozionale" fare.

Finally last night Alpieagles had a flight listed.

I went through the bookling only to get a message at the end that there was an error and they could not complete my reservation. Also a 39EU fare per person turned out to be over 390eu for 4 of us one all the fees were added.

I then checked out Meridiana and their fares are much more reasonable.

If they have an 11 am flight from Verona is it really as simple as state in the previous post?

What time would you suggest leaving Venice?

Thanks.

For bus schedule from Verona station to airport:

Forgot to say that Meridiana's initial fare screen shows the fares without the taxes and fees. So you've got to select a flight and continue in order to see the total, which can be quite a bit more than the base fare. (Maybe you already knew that.)

Thanks - the best fare actually was with Alitalia and it is an early flight which gets us a full day on the Amalfi Coast.

Worked out great! Instead of a travel day we will do some touring of the coast - just booked a hotel in Sorrento for 2 nights,
