All inclusive resort canary islands-early 20's

Any suggestions for group of college kids in early 20's for an all-inclusive resort in canary islands? Which island would you suggest for March 20-27 or thereabouts? Where would we have more fun? Or should we go to Marbella? Any suggestions where to stay there?

I would suggest that you ask your question at

http://thorntree.lonelyplanet.com/

which caters more to younger people than this forum does.

I guess you are aware that that is the week leading up to Easter, so places may be pretty full already ? And that there will be loads of school-age children there ? Are you American ? Most people who go to the Canaries from the UK are families I think. I wouldn't go.

It's not worth the all inclusive in my opinion. I am just back from Lanzarote 2 weeks ago and found it very cheap especially meals and drinks.

Also It was not the best weather. Apparently there has been a cold snap and we never went swimming. A couple told us they went every year and this is the worst weather in 7 years for them. Check out temperature on the web. Marbella may be nice for a bunch in thweir 20's. I have not been but heard good things about it. I don't think all inclusive gives a better deal as spain is pretty well priced.

There are family resorts and lively resorts in the Canaries. If you're after lively, I'd suggest Playa de las Americas in Tenerife or Puerto del Carmen in Lanzarote. The weather should be good at the end of March but as Caroline pointed out, it is the Easter school holidays so could be busy with families.

Siobhan - sorry your weather wasn't the best - we had great weather there when we visited in early March. I hope you enjoyed Lanzarote anyway. Did you get to see any of the sights round the island?
