Weather in Punta Cana

Hi! We're going to Punta Cana in February. Does anyone have any info about the weather at that time of year? Should we anticipate rain? Also, we're staying at the Bahia Principe. I'd love some insider info about this new resort. Thanks so much.

Average high temperature is 87 degrees F. Sorry, I don't have any info on Bahia Principe, i am also going in February but we're staying at the Catalonia Bavaro Beach & Golf Resort.

Enjoy!

Hi,

I just came back today from Punta Cana and I have stayed at the Bahia Principe Punta Cana (Golden Club). The weather was so-so... Partly sunny/partly cloudy. 2 days fully cloudy... It was windy.. very windy. Temperature around 25 during the day. At night, very cool... Need a sweater. The ocean was crazy... Big Big waves.... In fact, during the entire week, we were not able to take our lessons of Catamaran.. neither go on a trip for snorkling... However we have enjoyed the week anyway... We rested a lot!!!

As far as the Bahia, it is very clean. However, it's huge!!! The food is OK... Make sure to book the restaurant "a la carte" as soon as you arrive... we tried to book them the first night of our arrival and already, 3 of them (the best!) were fully booked for the week. The Italian and The Gourmet are very good. The Mexican and the Seafood are not good... Buffet is ok. Plenty of choices...

The beach is nice. Plenty of chairs on the beach.

If you have specific questions, just let me know!

Have a good trip!

Bye

We were there the end of Feb. several years ago. The weather was lovely, but always a strong breeze. We were able to use the Catamaran. The temps were 80's. It was sunny everyday and I don't recall any rain at all.
