There is no "chepest" airline.

It all depedns on where you want to go to/from - and how far in advance you can buy tickets.

You need to use all the standar search engines to reseaerch your options.

If you give specifics someone will tell you if any bargain airlines fly that route.

Oh - and best and cheapest will definitely NOT be the same.

Your first post has a very general question and then a link to a website? You're not trying to get around the advertising rules, are you?

Dietmar's website is just about his travels - no commercial basis to it as far as I can see.

Two suggestions, Dime. First, you need to be more specific in the title of your post on this Forum. "Airlines" doesn't tell us enough to get us to get us to open the thread to see what it is that you want. Just ask your question in the title. No need to be brief. They don't charge by the word.

Second, in answer to your question, a good place to start is by going to
http://www.whichbudget.com/ which is a listing of cheapo European airlines, and the cities they serve. Once you find the airlines serving your cities, you can go directly to the airline sites to look for bargains. By booking ahead you can get some fantastic deals.

Great hetismij - I'll take a look!
Normally I avoid links because I don't want to give an advertiser another "hit", but I will click in this case.

Sorry for the suspicion, Dietmar.
