I am flying from Toulouse to CDG/Paris and then CDG to Boston the following day. Are both flights in the same terminal and what hotel would you recommend for an overnight stay that is close to or lower than $100? I understand getting around can be confusing... Thank you

Since there is a day between the flights, the departure terminal is irrelevant. That being said....

TLS-CDG lands at Terminal 2F and CDG-BOS departs from Terminal 2E.

There is an ibis (88€) and Novotel (114€) right next to the airport. The ibis is more in line with your budget.

Getting around is easy.

There is also a Hilton and a citizenM there as well.

And a lot of hotels at 40 min via RER B - 10 € from downtown to CDG terminal 2.
Most that I would recommend are around 100 e a night though.

The previous edition had lots of maps which helped with connections and showed locations of hotels on the property. I haven't explored the new site but hope it will be as useful. Terminal 2 requires some study since it has several branches. Shuttles to the cluster of hotels at the neighbouring town of Roissy run from that terminal as well as train service into Paris. I think your budget is unrealistic, at least for a room on the airport property.

I don't. Like I posted above, ibis has a room for less than $100 and Novotel for less than $130.

Just be aware -- there are many hotels "at" CDG that are quite a distance away and require rather long shuttle/bus rides to terminal.

We stayed at a Novotel - Suite Novotel Paris Roissy CDG - that was a 45 minute ride from the terminal. Yes, it was rather a bargain but that distance and the fact that there was no place (restaurant) anywhere nearby to eat, made for a unpleasant stay overnight. And there were lots of hotels nearby, so it wasn't an odd one out.


The ones right at the airport are expensive. Check a map for the location. It was a rookie mistake on my part and I am no rookie. (

Yep. Right across from Terminal 3. I stayed at the ibis (or whichever one rents rooms by the hour) once and it was divine given the circumstances of my travels that itinerary.

Good to know for future trips; I just wanted to warn the OP [and any others] that they need to pay attention to location when hotel says at CDG.

I stayed in the Hilton once and it was very nice but AA was paying for it as they cancelled my flight. I'm sure it wouldn't be 100 euro or less.

I have never found CDG difficult to get around at all upon arrival or departure, the only slight confusing transition is when you are connecting flights, in my experience. But in this case, it isn't really a connecting flight anyway, except maybe on paper. But staying overnight takes away the part that I have found sometimes confusing (connections).

Out of my Head, Sheraton is located right at the heart of CDG2.
For Ibis, Novotel, CitizenM and Hilton, it is a short hop with the CDGVal.
For the others, you need to take their shuttle bus. Yes, it can take quite a time

We spent a night at the Ibis CDG last September after returning a rental car. It's pretty much adjacent to Terminal 3 and it was easy to find our way there using the CDGVAL system in the airport. I think we had to walk outside very briefly to enter the hotel. We paid around €100 for the night. Breakfast not included. Typical small Ibis room with a great bed. We did not use the bar or restaurant. We had had a good late lunch and simply purchased a few things from the small store in the lobby to take to our room. The next morning, after an early check-in for our flight, we had breakfast at the Paul in Terminal 1. You can pay a lot more for a hotel at CDG if you are looking for a larger room and more impressive decor and amenities. If it's basically a comfortable overnight sleep at a moderate price, this Ibis is good.

I can strongly recommend the Citizen M hotel at CDG. It's relatively inexpensive, and very easy to get to. Take the CDGVal train 1 stop from the center of the Terminal 2 complex, exiting at Roissypole, and the hotel is a 2-minute walk.
