Meeting Place at CDG

Hi. I'll be arriving at CDG next week, flying Air Canada from Toronto, my friend will arrive approximately 45 minutes later on Air France direct flight from Houston, TX (IAH) - what would be a good place to meet in CDG? I'm not sure if we arrive at the same terminal thus the question. Thanks in advance for your help.

Air France from IAH arrives at Terminal 2E. Air Canada from YYZ arrives at 2A. You can meet at the RER station which is between the two terminals if you're planning to go into Paris (or elsewhere) by train.

For mpas of the terminals....

www.aeroportsdeparis.fr

You could meet at the RER station of terminal 2 (note there is also a stop at Terminal 1). The Terminal 2 one is right above the TGV station.

RER B
- Terminal 1
Take Aéroports de Paris Shuttle Busses (line 2) gate 22, departure level until Roissypôle-Terminal 3

- Terminal 2A & 2B
Take Aéroports de Paris Shuttle Busses (line 3) at gate 8 of terminal 2A and gate 6 at terminal 2B until "TGV/RER "

- Terminal 2C & 2D
Follow "Paris par train"

- Terminal 2E & 2F
Follow "Paris par train"

- Terminal 3
Take the footpath (about 250 m ) and follow "Paris par train"
Aéroports de Paris Shuttle Busses.

Thanks everyone, such rapid replies. We will be picked up by Blu Van shuttle and I know there is a distinct door/gate to meet them, however, my friend has not traveled to CDG before and I think she may be overwhelmed, so I thought it would be nice if I waited for her. Also, what about Baggage Claim? Again, I appreciate your help.

You can't meet your friend at baggage claim, as that's still within customs area. You can only meet her outside customs exit.

But I advice against that too, because while her flight is scheduled to come into 2E, in reality her plane can come in to any terminal. [My last IAH-CDG flight on AF parks at a 2F gate, even though it's supposed to be 2E.]

Just meet her at whatever your shuttle says pick up at 2E. You can walk from 2A to 2E easily and meet up with her there.

Meet at the RER station. The area is quite small.

Make sure the friends know which RER station they might meet at, since there are two of them.

Thanks again, I think we'll just meet where we are to get our shuttle, probably the easiest.

Since both parties are arriving at terminal 2, the only RER station in question would be the terminal 2 station.

They can waste money on a shuttle if they like.

There is a good deal of discussion here on the merits of taxi vs shuttle vs RER vs Air France bus/Roissybus.

Price wise and time wise, RER is the winner. Potential downsides may be having to transfer to Metro, some additional walking, getting accustomed to system...

i just think it is not nice to refer to people using shuttles as "wasting" money.

some people have

-walking issues
-luggage they donīt want to deal with
-a fear of getting lost
-etc-etc.
-and more than enough money to spend on things THEY want to do on a trip, OR THAT GIVE THEM PEACE OF MIND.

The discussion was not whether or not I chose to use a shuttle, perhaps in some opinions it is wasting money, however, this is my choice. I only asked about a convenient meeting place and I do appreciate the help and time to answer my question. I think we can end this discussion.
