?? about new TSA rules

The new rules seem different...it says I can bring liquid foundation. I am suspicious. i would hate that they take it from me. Has anyone used these new rules. I leave tomorrow!

Hi lois,

It is all right as long as it is 3 oz or less and you put it in your 1-quart baggie.

yes, I've used them about a half dozen times as they've been in effect quite a while (I first used them last October, so I know they were then). It's not just liquid foundation, it's anything liquid/gel etc in that category. As Ira says, they just have to be small and all fit in that one ziploc quart bag. Is it just that foundation in particular you are suspicious about, or is that the only liquid thing you will have on you?

They are real used to these rules by now, the last couple times I flew in March, things were real smooth and quick. If you follow the rules, you go through really quickly as they like you compared to all the other people who can't read or something and seem surprised they can't do something even though there are a million signs leading up to security saying they can't.

you can take foundation, liquid lip gloss, mouthwash, toothpaste - any ole liquid/gel things you want -- as long as they are in 3 oz or smaller containers . . . .

Well the foundation says 3 ounce...but it isn't one of those Nalgene things.

Also does that mean I can take my Clinique city base..it's sort of a wet foundation, looks like wet p owder....does someone know what I mean?

Hi L,

You can take any liquids or gels as long as they are 3 oz or less and fit in your 1 quart baggie.

You get only 1 baggie.

IMO, the Clinique City Base is a "solid" as opposed to a liquid or gel. If space is limited, don't bother using your small one quart baggie for this item. (I have had TSA people tell me re: such items, "that does not have to be in the baggie&quot. Just like the soft solid deodorants that don't need to be in the bag, I don't believe your compact does either.

Hmmm, just noticed you are leaving today, so my input may be too late.
