TSA Liquid Restrictions
Does anyone know if SOLID make-up, like lipstick, SOLID deoderant, etc. count towards your 1 quart baggie allowance? I get the whole liquid tubes of gloss and gel deoderants, but these other things are solid - do they still count?
I also have a compact of make-up that is solid, but it's a creamy type of solid compact - not powder - does that count as a liquid?
Finally, what about alcohol wipes and baby/personal/hand wipes for those of us that don't have babies? Do those need to go in the bag as well?
Please advise ASAP - I'm moving to Australia in 9 days (June 4th)! Thanks so much!

Solid deoderant and lipsticks are not liquid, and do not have to be in the 1 quart bag. More info is available at www.tsa.gov

Yeah, I've read and re-read the TSA site, but maybe there's a page that makes it clearer? I've been reading the what's permitted page that lists things by category, but it doesn't really go into solids. But then it lists Carmex as a liquid, so I didn't know how solid "solid" had to be...
Obviously I can buy big stuff in Australia, but my fiance is picking me up at the airport, and after 40 hours of flying, I thought smelling nice and a face of make-up might be ladylike. I don't know about you, but 40 hours of flying, standing in lines and schlepping luggage around doesn't leave me looking and smelling like a delicate flower, haha.
Keep the responses coming - anyone flown recently that has had experience with this? I'm especially curious about the alcohol pads/baby wipes for those of us that don't have babies. It'd be a good way to sanitize your hands and freshen up your face without doing the one-hand hold-down elbow dance with the bathroom faucet!
