a night in Vienna or in Karlovy Vary?

Hi there!
what do you think about this itinerary? some people have told me that I should go to Vienna... do you think I should go to Vienna and stay the night instead of staying the night at Karlovy Vary? I'm 30 years old, my husband is 34, and we don't have children (first time in Europe).
  • Friday: We get in at 1pm.
  • Saturday: Prague
  • Sunday: Karlstejn Castle & Town
  • Monday: Kutna Hora
  • Tuesday: Dresden, Germany by Train
  • Wednesday: Karlovy Vary // we are staying the night
  • Thursday: Back to Prague
  • Friday: Leave

Stay 2 FULL DAYS in Vienna or forget it.
You will need a full day for Dresden and will not arrive there from Prague earlier than 10.40. So don't plan to leave Dresden at 3pm in order to arrive at Vienna before midnight.
Karlsbad is realistic, Vienna not at all.

I can change the itinerary so I'm not going one day to Dresden and the next day to Vienna, but this is great feedback! if I need two full days in Vienna to enjoy it is better to leave it for another trip. Thanks!!!

Karlovy Vary will be a good one night stop. Vienna is much larger and farther away.

Two full days mean three nights - and that is still very short for a city like Vienna which could keep you busy for weeks in a row. Better leave it for another trip.

Prague to Karlovy Vary is a 2 hour train trip, That is about the same length of trip as to both Dresden and Kutna Hora. What makes you want to stay a night in KV just to come back to Prague for your final night?

I would never go to another place to stay one night because it was cute-- NOT when you have to get back to the place you just left to fly home, and them find another hotel in that place for one night.

I think your itinerary is okay except for that. I personally wouldn't even go to Karlovy Vary given you have a couple other day trips (Dresden and Kutna Hora) and not that many days in Prague. But it's your time/money/energy.

That's good advice, are you saying that i should spend more days at Prague instead of doing day trips?
Actually, I booked an Airbnb for the entire week at Prague, so is not like I have to pack everything-unpack-pack again
